My partner and I met when I posted an ad. We have been together six years, have a wonderful home together, fulfilling work, many delightful friends and playmates. We are more different than two people could ever be, and yet somehow it sort of works. Actually it works amazingly!

For all our differences, we communicate well. Whenever we have difficulties we talk, compromise, adjust, and work things out. I think we began our relationship in the spirit of communication with the ad. I placed it and my partner answered it. The ad was honest, both about myself and about what I was looking for in a partner, physically, mentally, and spiritually. My partner was honest about how he met what I outlined in the ad. Being authentic is important and fruitful.

I physically placed the ad, and also, in my own way, sent the ad to the universe as a kind of prayer. I said it out loud, even sang it out loud, with all my heart. Truly, I did this one night in my bedroom, silly as it sounds. With whatever faith was in me, I trusted the universe that my partner was coming. I tried to see him, put everything I could think about him in my little prayer of sorts, and knew somehow in my heart that he was coming. I tried very hard not to let any doubt in.

Can you believe and trust? Is there even a small part of you that can believe and trust that what you are asking for is coming and coming soon? If you can, my advice is to try this and watch what happens.

This approach has also worked for me in terms of bringing wonderful friends into my life, even delightful, safe, dependable playmates. (My partner and I play safely together with others. We are not jealous, and find a great deal of joy and fun in our playing. We truly love our playmates, many of whom have become great friends. This is right for us- you must find what's right for you!

This "getting clear, asking and trusting" approach has brought an abundance of all sorts of good things to my life. I apply it to allsorts of areas of my life and highly recommend it. I know it sounds like "wishing upon a star" and it is wishing upon a star. It works, all in proportion to your willingness to get clear, ask, trust and believe.
